
Whetū Fala is an acclaimed Māori and Pasifika storyteller, director, producer, writer, actor, and editor, dedicated to amplifying Indigenous voices across theatre, film, television, and radio. She is the founder of Fala Media, which produces content in English and te reo Māori for Māori and South Pacific audiences. Whetū has been recognised for her work promoting Māori culture, language, and tikanga, including the Mana Wahine tohu from Women in Film and Television NZ and the Wairoa Māori Film Festival in 2019. She brings her creative leadership and cultural insight to Indigenous broadcasting in Aotearoa through her board role at Whakaata Māori.
