Whakaata Māori Kapahaka FANZONE Giveaway Terms and Conditions
As at 14 January 2024:
1. These Terms and Conditions relate to the giveaway promotion provisionally called “Whakaata Māori Kapahaka FANZONE Giveaway” (“the Promotion”).
2. Your entry into the Promotion is deemed to be acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
3. The Promoter is Māori Television Service,trading as Whakaata Māori, (the “Promoter”), acting through Whakaata Māori Channel, Te Reo Channel (“Whakaata Māori Channels”).
4. The Promotion will be in four parts (the “Promotional Period”)
Part one: Starts Wednesday 14 February 2024 at 5.59pm and closes on Tuesday 20 February 2024 at 11.59pm.
Part two: Starts Wednesday 06 March 2024 at 5.59pm and closes on Tuesday
14 March 2024 at11.59pm.
Part three: Starts Wednesday 03 April 2024 at 5.59pm and closes on Tuesday 11 April 2024 at 11.59pm”
Part 4: Starts Wednesday 24 April 2024 at 5.59pm and closes on Tuesday 30 April 2024.
Entries received outside of the Promotional Period will not be accepted.
5. Employees and independent contractors and their immediate family members of the “Promoter”, its retailers, suppliers, associated companies and agencies are not eligible to enter. Employees and independent contractors of the Government, crown agencies and/or crown entities must adhere to gift and ethics policies applicable to them when entering the Promotion or accepting any prize.
6. All New Zealand citizens, over the age of 12, are eligible to enter the Promotion during the Promotional Period.
7. To enter you are required to:
7a. Tag the group you are going to be supporting at the next three kapahaka regionals in the comments of the promoted Facebook post and tell us your favourite saying from your group of choice.
7b. You can enter as many times as you like.
7c. One entry per comment.
7d. There will be one winner. The winner of the prize will be chosen at random using the Randomiser app. The winners will be contacted via Facebook Messenger. The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will not be entered into with any entrant.
8. The prize for the promotion is:
• Tìhate/T-shirt (Whakaata Māori)
• Bluetooth Speaker (Whakaata Māori)
• Pair of poi (Whakaata Māori)
* Koru & Māori+ Jibbitz (Whakaata Māori)
* Sweat Towel (Whakaata Māori)
9. The Promoter may request proof of identity, and/or proof of entry validity from the winner. If proof is not provided by the winner or is not sufficient to be acceptable to the Promoter, the winner will be deemed to have forfeited their prize.
10. The winner must respond to the message on Facebook messenger informing them of their win within (3) three working days and provide the Promoter with complete and accurate information of winner's details. If the winner fails to respond within (3) three working days they will be disqualified, and a new winner will be drawn.
12. By participating in the Promotion you will be providing your information to the Promoter not to Facebook or Instagram or any other third-party social media platform. This Promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram or any other third-party social media platform.
13. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash.
14. The prize is not transferable. If the winner is unable to accept their prize, the Promoter may disqualify the winner, and a new winner will be drawn.
15. If the winner accepts a prize, they will be solely responsible for all fees and costs (if any) associated with accepting the prize.
16. By participating in the competition, the winning entrant permits their name, image and likeness appearing in connection with the Promotion, the Promoter or the advertising or marketing, in any media whatsoever throughout the world for the duration of the competition only.
17. The Promoter, its suppliers, associated companies, and agencies will not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss or damage which is suffered because of your participation in the Promotion or winning any prize.
18. The Promoter is not responsible for any errors that may occur during the Promotion or in the awarding of the prize. They accept no liability for any errors.
19. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
20. The Promoter may modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend or change the Promotion or any element of the Promotion for any reason, including any cancellation, suspension or change necessitated by any event outside of The Promoter’s control.
21. You are responsible for all content submitted as part of your entry. The Promoter shall not be liable for the breach of any third party’s rights because of your entry.
22. The Promoter may remove any content from the Promotion from its social media accounts without notice, for any reason whatsoever.
23. You agree that you will not submit any content that is defamatory, fraudulent, or that breaches intellectual property, privacy, or other rights, contains offensive language, or any material otherwise unsuitable for publication
24. You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding the access or use of others’ computer or communication systems.
25. No responsibility is accepted by the Promoter for entries that are late, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, or lost, incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access telecommunications network services, or any other error or malfunction whatsoever, and is in no way liable for any entries not lodged, or incorrectly lodged, in the Promotion database.
